Washington DC Portrait, Engagement Photographer | Cherry Blossoms, Tidal Basin

This week was supposed to be peak bloom for the Cherry Blossoms in DC. Prime time for photographers of all kinds to be out at the tidal basin. DC Wedding photographers flock at the request of their clients to find the perfect spot for engagement sessions. But with it being such a huge attraction, even getting to the Tidal Basin before sunrise won’t help with avoiding crowds.

TIP:

When you get to the Tidal basin, there is one tree that hangs low. Behind the tree you can see the Jefferson Memorial. This one tree is the perfect place for all your portrait needs. However, it is very popular and you will have to work fast and take turns with others.

Last year I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph a gorgeous lady during the peak time. And am looking forward to catching some blooms this year! If you want to know any cherry blossom secrets, send me a note, I’ll happily share!
